Two Day Street Photography Workshop in Budapest, Hungary
Two Day Street Photography Workshop in Budapest
On this two-day street photography workshop in Budapest Keith will also be joined by his friend and fellow street photographer Krisz Bedynski. Krisz grew up in Budapest so obviously knows it well and so will help to guide the group around this beautiful city to provide an unforgettable experience. You'll explore this vibrant and visually stimulating city not only visiting tourist hotspots including the now famous bohemian Ruin Bars in the Jewish Quarter but also getting into the very core of Budapest seeing areas that only a local would know.
Budapest is Hungary’s capital and largest city; a city divided by the River Danube with Buda on one side and Pest on the other. It is dubbed the “Paris of the East”, cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Budapest boasts an extensive world heritage site which includes: the banks of the Danube; the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrassy Avenue, Heroes’ Square, and the Millennium Underground Railway, the second oldest metro line in the world. The clash between eastern and western culture dominates this city and it’s a thousand faces, from classicist architecture to Soviet-style housing blocks. There’s a lot to explore and love about this city, it’s a perfect place for street photography.
What you’ll learn.
Because group sizes are small, limited to 5 you will be treated as an individual, giving you as much one to one time with Keith or Krisz as you need. Working at your own pace using simple non-technical, jargon-free language. You will delve into the culture of Budapest as well as discovering great areas to capture street photography.
Our workshops are very friendly, relaxed and sociable so the first day will begin with the guests getting together over a coffee and a chat giving Keith and Krisz the opportunity to assess your needs and find out what you are looking for from the workshop, we want you to go home happy with some great shots!
Of course you will learn various street photography techniques, but more importantly, we will help you to focus on your strengths and help you to realise your potential. Inspiring and encouraging you, giving you the confidence to approach people in the street and, once approached, how to connect with them instantly putting them at ease and just as importantly gaining their confidence to capture their character making it a mutually rewarding experience.
It’s about personal enlightenment and fulfilment. We believe that a great image is 25% photographic skill 75% human skill.
On the evening of the first day, you are welcome to join Keith and Krisz to eat at a local restaurant where you can enjoy the popular Pörkölts (spicy Goulash or pork stew) or one of the other local dishes, a glass of wine or whatever your tipple is. It’s a great time to socialise and reflect on the day.
Whom is this workshop designed for?
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or professional, the workshop is not just about learning how to use your camera it's about seeking personal development, maybe working outside of your comfort zone, realising your potential and especially those seeking a new type of experience.
